Are you ready to sell your car?
Once we appraise your vehicle, you are required to have certain items to complete the sale. If you have any questions regarding the items to bring with you, please contact Hertz Car Sales before your visit. The About Our Process section can also guide you in what to expect when coming to the store.
What to bring with you
Along with your vehicle, remember to bring the following items. We will guide you through the process and if you are missing certain items, we will help you make arrangements to gather these items.
1. Your vehicle's title or pay-off information
We will need your title to transfer the vehicle's ownership and it must be provided at the time of the sale. All titleholders must be present. If any person listed on the title cannot be present, please visit our FAQ section for further guidance.
2. Valid Registration
We must see the car's current registration to confirm that you are the car's owner.
3. Valid Photo ID
All titleholders must bring a valid, state-issued photo identification.
4. Keys and Remotes
When selling us your vehicle, it's very important you provide us with all sets of keys and remotes. If the original keys and remotes are missing, we may adjust the original offer. The Determining Your Offer section lists other factors that may impact the offer.
What to expect after the sale
Receiving payment
Upon agreeing to sell your vehicle, Hertz Car Sales will submit a check request to our corporate headquarters which in turn will issue a check to the names listed on the title, sent to the address requested by you.
